COLUMBIA -- Mr. James Henry Gantt, 92, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999, in Fayetteville, N.C.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Virginia Wingard Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Allen officiating. Burial will be in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Lexington.
Mr. Gantt, a native of Pickens, had retired as a professional electrical engineer with the South Carolina Electrical and Gas Company. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and had retired from the Naval Reserve as a commander after 26 years. He was a member of Virginia Wingard Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Suzanne Edge, Fayetteville, N.C.; a stepdaughter, Barbara M. McFann, Atlanta; and a brother, John V. Gantt, Pickens; a sister, Evelyn G. Mathis, North Augusta; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Dunbar Funeral Home, Irmo, is in charge of arrangements.
