Mr. Willie Perry Sr.



AIKEN -- Mr. Willie Perry Sr., 72, of 1338 Aldrich St. N.E., died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999, at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta.

The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Mount Zion Baptist Church, Jackson, with the Rev. Henry Ingram officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Perry, a native of Aiken County, was a painter. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of Welcome Travelers Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Willie Perry Jr., Jimmy Perry and Larry Perry, all of Aiken; four daughters, Susan Perry, Jacqueline Perry and Twanda Perry, all of Aiken, and Beatrice Gantt, Ridge Spring; a brother, Hollie Perry, Aiken; three sisters, Julia Ellison, Belvedere, and Mattie Lou Houston and Jannie Key, both of Jackson; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be his nephews.

Friends may call at the residence or at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home at 3 p.m. today and Saturday and from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the church.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
