SANDERSVILLE, Ga. -- Mrs. Sarah Ethel May Powell, 92, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 1999, at Washington Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Sisters Baptist Church with the Revs. M.D. Cabe and Thomas Roberson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Powell, a native of Washington County, was a homemaker. She was a member of Sisters Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Roy Virgil Powell, Sandersville; four daughters, Helen Marie Powell, Dublin, Sarah Jacquelyn Powell Veal and Mary Ellen Powell Davis, both of Sandersville, and Judy Ann Powell Frost, Riddleville; three brothers, S. Frank May and James W. May, both of Sandersville, and Hugh P. May, Valpariso, Fla.; four sisters, Mary L. May and Genie N. Nunn, both of Sandersville, Pricilla M. Jones, Aiken, and Betty M. Ken, McDonough; and 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Kim McNeely, Jack Smith, Joe Sanders, Troy Epps, Bob Davis, Christ Powell, Aaron Frost and Edward Peak.
Memorials may be made to Sisters Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
Friends may call at the residence of Eugene Veal, 837 E. McCarty St.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Lang's Chapel Funeral Home.
