Mr. Richard L. Richeson Sr., 71, of 3602 Elliott Blvd., died Monday, Sept. 13, 1999, at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lutheran Church of the Ascension with Pastor Mike Freed officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Richeson, a native of Pauline, Neb., was an Army veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. He had retired from Purolator Courier Service. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 649, American Legion Post 175 and Lutheran Church of the Ascension.
Survivors include his wife, Florence G. Richeson; three sons, David Richeson and Timothy Richeson, both of Augusta, and Steven Richeson, Decatur; a daughter, Debbie Richeson Hicks, Loganville; a brother, Dale Richeson, Indianapolis; and 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be members of the military.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Poteet Funeral Home, Peach Orchard Road.
