HEPHZIBAH -- Ms. Carrie Bell Flowers, 74, of 2669 Barclay St., died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999, at Columbia-Augusta Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie James officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Ms. Flowers, a native of Augusta, was a homemaker. She had retired from Basset Furniture Co., Newton, N.C. She was a member of Heroines of Jericho Martha Chapter 2 and the Eastern Stars, Catawba, N.C. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday school teacher and a member of the senior choir, the deaconess board and the missionary circle.
Survivors include a daughter, Fernanda Gordon, Augusta; a brother, Colie Dawkins, Rochester, N.Y.; four sisters, Annie Mae Martin, Beech Island, Sarah Duhart, Cincinnati, and Beatrice Simmons and Julia Thompson, both of Rochester; and a grandchild.
Pallbearers will be deacons of the church.
Friends may call at the residence or at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
