Mrs. Ruby Hicks, 81, of 735 E. Cedar St., died Friday, Aug. 27, 1999, at St. Joseph Hospital.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Simonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie Williams officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Hicks, a native of Aiken County, was a homemaker and member of Fountain Grove Baptist Church, Harlem.
Survivors include five sons, Alphonzo Hicks, Leroy Hicks and Willie James Hicks, all of Augusta, Edward Hicks, Jacksonville, Fla., and Richard Hicks, Fort Hood, Texas; four daughters, Edith Brooks, Hephzibah, Bertha Mae Hicks and Julia Hicks, both of Augusta, and Myrtis Hicks, North Augusta; a brother, Aquilla Jackson, Tocoma, Wash.; four sisters, Ethel Kelly, Washington, Mary Travis and Estella Stockton, both of Augusta, and Dorothy "Carrie" Oliver, Miami; and 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tony Brooks, Carl Hicks, Darnell Hicks, Gregory Hicks, Jeffery Hicks and Reginald Hicks.
Friends may call at the residence or Williams Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
