NORTH AUGUSTA -- Mrs. Marie Cantrell Burriss, 75, of 908 Fairfield Ave., died Sunday, Aug. 29, 1999, at her residence.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of North Augusta with the Rev. Jerry T. Matthews officiating. Burial will be private.
Mrs. Burriss, a native of Pike County, Ky., was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of North Augusta, where she served in Bob Rogers Sunday School Class and Cream of the Crop Choir. She was a member of Sheffield Club and American Legion Auxillary.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Burriss; a son, William H. Burriss III, Saluda; three daughters, Pamela Cantrell Cartee and Mary Ellen Sartori, both of North Augusta, and Barbara Simmons, Omaha, Neb.; a brother, Claude Blackburn, Frankfort, Ky.; two sisters, Eunice Pennington, Kalamazoo, Mich., and Lois Pauley, Charleston, W.Va.; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Bob Rogers Sunday School Class, Cream of the Crop Choir, Sheffield Club and American Legion Auxillary.

Friends may call at the residence.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rowland Funeral Home.
