Mr. James Flanders



NORWOOD, Ga. -- Mr. James Pierce Flanders, 75, of 105 Hall St., died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1999, at McDuffie County Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Norwood Cemetery with the Revs. Ted Miller and James Bocian officiating.

Mr. Flanders, a native of Wilkes County, had retired as a purchasing agent and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Warren County Historical Society, Sarah Clary Sunday School Class and United Methodist Men. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Eva Flanders; a daughter, Deane F. Clark, Dunstable, Mass.; a brother, Marvin Flanders, Augusta; a sister, Elizabeth Smith, Augusta; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be members of the Sarah Clary Sunday School Class.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or to Warrenton Health and Rehabilitation.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church.

Beggs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
