Greenbrier coach Mickey Derrick on Hicks: "He is a team player from top to bottom with many good work ethics. I don't know anything else to say about him. When you move a guy from quarterback to tailback and the only word I heard from him is `yes sir,' that tells me he's a team player."

Hicks on Hicks: "I'm really looking forward to showing people my versatility. But I feel this is a team game. Without my teammates, we can't have a good season. I'll do anything to help my team win, whether it's playing quarterback, running back or cornerback."
