Tournament information



Sponsoring a bass, crappie, catfish or other fishing tournament? Mail or fax your flyer or information to Outdoor Editor, The Augusta Chronicle, P.O. Box 1928, Augusta, Ga. 30903-1928. Fax number: (706) 823-3408. Tournament reports must include first and last names of the participants, total numbers of fish caught and participants and total weight of the catch.

Open Team Night Tournament

July 17-18, 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. Little River Marina

Entry fee $30 per team. Tournament hours 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. 100 percent payback, one place for every 10 boats up to three places. Registration will be held on site 30 minutes prior to the start of the tournament. Tournaments began on April 1 and run through Sept. 2. Five-fish limit, Clark Hill Association rules. Teams must be members of Angler's Choice in good standing. Non-members may join by enclosing an annual $25 membership fee per person with the $175 team entry fee. Contestants should register in advance by mail; however, on-site registration will be held at 5:15 on tournament mornings until the last boat has launched at safe light.

Tournaments run through Aug. 21. Entry fee is $22 per boat. Hours are 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Five-fish limit per team or individual. Payback based on number of boats entered. The Summer Saturday Night Classic will be held on Saturday, Aug. 28, at a time TBA and anglers must fish a minimum two regular season tournaments to qualify. Entry fee $25 including ramp fee. Regular tournaments are sponsored by Chuck's Lakeside Marine and Willoughby Ford of Thomson, Ga., and will be held every Saturday from safe light until 3 p.m. Tournaments will not be held when dates conflict with Clark Hill Committee events. Classic will be held next February with a guaranteed purse of $2,000 for first-place team.
