Mr. Franklin Moore

MURPHY, N.C. -- Mr. Franklin Orin Moore, 53, of Bourne Drive, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999, at his residence.

The funeral will be at 4 p.m. today at Townson Rose Funeral Home with Martin Davis, Kevin Goodwin and the Rev. Terry Stewart officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Moore, a native of Jefferson County, was a Navy veteran. He was formerly employed by General Motors and Ford Motors in Atlanta. He was a member of The Church of Christ and the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Jean Payne Moore; a brother, Verlin P. Moore, Charlotte; and two sisters, Virginia Goodwin, Dublin, Ga., and Linda Moore, Huntsville, Ala.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Goodwin, Chuck Standard, Charles Payne, Randy Crowley, Larry Cook and Richard Hickey.
