LINCOLNTON, Ga. -- Mr. Rem Remsen, 81, of 3744 Lovelace Road, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999, at University Hospital, Augusta.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Anthony's Chapel United Methodist Church with the Revs. Elton Lawson, Joel Embry and Larry Lambert officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Remsen, a native of Richmond County, had retired as a claims adjuster with Georgia Farm Bureau. He was an Army veteran of World War II in maritime service. He was a former troop leader of Explorer Troop 268 and a member of Lincolnton Masonic Lodge 354 and Free and Accepted Masons. He was a member of Anthony's Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Rem Remsen II, Lincolnton; a daughter, Rosemary R. Rucker, Spring, Texas; his mother, Lottie W. Walker, Lincolnton; a brother, Guy A. Remsen, Lincolnton; a sister, Mary R. Bunch, McCormick, S.C.; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Charles Feltman, Marcy Remsen, Murray Remsen, Walker Norman, Bob Norman, Ricky Stringer and James Spence.
Honorary pallbearers will be Georgia Farm Bureau claims adjusters and agents.

Friends may call at the residence.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Rees Funeral Home.
