It could be make or break time for former Augusta State soccer player Danny Kight.
Kight is one of two kickers competing for a job with the Cleveland Browns, who play the Dallas Cowboys tonight in the Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio. The former ASU Jaguar (1989-92) could see action against the Cowboys.
Neither Kight, who has experience in the NFL European League and in past tryouts with San Diego and Dallas, nor Phil Dawson have settled the issue in early going, leaving coach Chris Palmer disillusioned about the Browns' kicking game.
But, the Browns are willing to give both of them a chance.
Said Dwight Clark, the Browns' director of football operations, "You can always find a kicker if you need one, but we'd really like one of these guys to step up and take the job."
