Mr. Charles C. Willis Sr., 65, of 1745 Goshen Road, died Friday, Aug. 6, 1999, at St. Joseph Hospital.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Southside Baptist Church with the Revs. Greg Bentley, Robert Boyd and Charles Whisnant officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Willis, a native of Augusta, had retired from F & W Transportation. He was a member of Shade Tree A Model Club and We The People. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtis D. Willis; three sons, Charles E. Willis Jr., Gibson, Leroy Robert "Bobby" Willis, Thomson, and Lawrence John Willis, Augusta; a daughter, Vickie Willis Callaway, Thomson; two stepdaughters, Rhonda G. Heath, Aiken, and Paula R. Hain, Augusta; four sisters, Maxine Whisnant, Ann Rosier and Janis Evans, all of Augusta, and Linda Brown, Brunswick; and 14 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Rosbie Whisnant, Robbie Sprouse, Charlie Rosier, Michael Evans, Chris Evans and Terry Dixon.
Honorary pallbearers will be employees of F & W Transportation.
Memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Building Fund, 2420 Norfolk St., Augusta, GA 30906.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road.
