LANGLEY -- Mr. James Phillip Witt, 61, of P.O. Box 216, died Friday, Aug. 6, 1999, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mid-Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. Bert Baynham officiating. Burial will be private.
Mr. Witt, a native of Peoria, Ill., was a foundry worker for Caterpillar Corp. He was a Navy veteran and a member of the Masonic Temple Lodge, Peoria. He was a member of Mid-Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Powell Witt; two sons, William Witt, Ateley, Minn., and John Allen Witt, Fort Lewis, Wash.; a daughter, Julie Keating, Aiken; two stepsons, John Singleton, Wyoming, Ill., and Dean Singleton, Canton, Ill.; a sister, Trinia Witt, Peoria; and seven grandchildren.
