Mr. Anthony "Tony" Romeo, 76, of 2520 Brookshire Road, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999, at Providence Hospital, El Paso, Texas.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road, with Father Andrew Doris officiating. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park.
Mr. Romeo, a native of Pittsburg, had retired from the Army with the rank of first sergeant. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He was a Mason and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Testa Romeo; two sons, Anthony Romeo Jr., Augusta, and Michael Romeo, El Paso; a daughter, Patricia Blanchard, Thousand Oaks, Calif.; a brother, Frank Romeo, Oxnard, Calif.; a sister, Mary Artisti, Sharpsburg, Pa.; and three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be members of the Army Ceremonial Detail.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
