BATH -- Mrs. Fannie M. Griffin Thomas, 83, of 262 Duncan Road, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1999, at University Hospital, Augusta.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Transfiguration Baptist Church, with the Rev. Clarence D. Hill officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Thomas, a native of Chatham County, Ga., was a homemaker and a member of Mount Transfiguration Baptist Church, where she served as a deaconess and a member of the choir.
Survivors include a son, Wilbert Thomas, Bath; four daughters, Sara Lyons, Reatha Lewis, Gloria Dunbar and Shelia Hunter, all of Bath; two brothers, Paul Griffin, Goose Creek, and Bennie Griffin, Bath; six sisters, Idell Jones, Annie Green and Elizabeth Anderson, all of Bath, Frances Lyons and Adline Wooden, Philadelphia, and Janie Griffin, San Pablo, Calif.; and 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the residence of Reatha Lewis, 260 Duncan Road, or at G.L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary, North Augusta.
