Administrative consolidation at Avondale Mills has resulted in promotions for three local executives.
The Monroe, Ga.,-based textile manufacturer announced this week that Augusta resident Keith M. Hull was named president of marketing and sales for the company's apparel fabric and yarn divisions.
Mr. Hull, a 22-year employee, previously headed marketing and sales of Avondale apparel fabrics.
Other executives promoted are:
John Hudson Jr. The Augusta resident, will assume Mr. Hull's former duties as president of marketing for apparel fabrics. He was formerly the executive vice president of the company's denim operations.
Louis M. Pedraza. Also an Augusta resident, Mr. Pedraza assumes Mr. Hudson's former duties. Mr. Pedraza was formerly vice president of operation planning.
Another newly created position, vice president of apparel fabrics logistics and planning, will be filled by Robert G. Nelson, currently president of Avondale yarns in Sylacauga, Ala.
The consolidation is part of Avondale Mills' ongoing effort to integrate operations of The Graniteville Co., which Avondale acquired in 1996.
The company employs 3,400 people at facilities in Augusta and Graniteville, making it the largest private-sector employer in the Augusta-Aiken metro area.
