Mr. Charlie Lunceford



CRAWFORDVILLE, Ga. -- Mr. Charlie Hawes Lunceford, 97, of 108 Alexander St., died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1999, at Wills Memorial Hospital, Washington.

The funeral will be at 6 p.m. today at Carters Grove Baptist Church, Rayle, with the Revs. Thompson Holliman and Harold Combs officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Lunceford, a native of Taliaferro County, had retired as a self-employed painter and bus driver. He was a member of Carters Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include a brother, Owens Lunceford, Crawfordville; a sister, Mabel Fouche, Washington; and three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Lloyd Echols, Max Armour, Allen Armour, Wayne Poss, Calvin Combs and Bill Callaway.

Hopkins Funeral Home, Washington, is in charge of arrangements.
