SANDERSVILLE, Ga. -- Mr. Wallace Dean Lindsey, 74, of Richmond Street, died Saturday, July 24, 1999, at Heritage Inn Nursing Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Marlon Lastinger officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Lindsey, a native of Washington County, had retired from AICC Kaolin Co. as a mill superintendent. He was a hobby magician and a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Mr. Lindsey was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon and Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Hodges Lindsey; two sons, R. Dean Lindsey, Tennille, and Andy Lindsey, Madison; a daughter, Pattie L. Proveaux, Sandersville; a brother, Merritt Lindsey, Blythe; a sister, Anita L. Alexander, Sumter, S.C.; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 8283 Linton Road, Warthen, GA 31094.
Friends may call at the residence, 210 Richmond Street.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Lang's Chapel.
