Mr. Wilber J. Rosier, 81, of Martinez, died Friday, July 23, 1999, at Columbia Augusta Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Poteet Funeral Home, Wheeler Road, with Dr. Jack A. Custer officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Rosier, a native of Dunbarton, S.C., had retired from Babcock & Wilcox as a foreman. He was an Army Medical Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of Baker Woods Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Joy Sunday School Class. He was a deacon and usher at Calvary Baptist Church. He was a member of Senior Friends.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Rosier; two sons, James H. Rosier, Evans, and Kenneth E. Rosier, Martinez; a brother, Ernest Rosier, Port Charlotte, Fla.; five sisters, Julia Simmons and Virgie Clark, both of Barnwell, S.C., Ruby Muns, Bamberg, S.C., Lucille Green, Moulton, Ala., and Willie Mae McKnight, Hopwood, Pa.; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jim Garner, Herb Moxley, Jack Cawthon, Kip Rosier, Kevin Rosier and Jamie Rosier.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Joy Sunday School Class.
Memorials may be made to the Baker Woods Baptist Church Building Fund, 470 Fury's Ferry Road, Martinez, GA 30907.
Friends may call at the residence or at the funeral home.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
