NUNEZ, Ga. -- Mr. Ronnie Ellis Hooks, 40, died Saturday, July 24, 1999, at Emanuel Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Peebles Curry Durden Mortuary, Swainsboro, with the Rev. Kelmer Durden officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Church Cemetery, Lexsy.
Mr. Hooks, a native of Emanuel County, was a farmer. He was a member of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Christy Hooks, Perry; his mother, Allene Hooks, Nunez; eight brothers, Eugene Talmadge Hooks, Kenny Hooks, Randy Hooks, Danny Hooks, Larry Hooks and Todd Hooks, all of Nunez, and Donald Lee Hooks and Steve Hooks, both of Swainsboro; two sisters, Tammy Womack and Bonnie Hooks, both of Nunez; and one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be John Roy Lively, Billy Lively, Mark Durden, Will Snellgrove, Matt Snellgrove and Mark Snellgrove.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
