Mr. James Kemp



METTER, Ga. -- Mr. James Lynwood Kemp, 53, of Route 2, died Saturday, July 24, 1999, in Statesboro.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Metter First Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Beam officiating. Burial will be in Lake Cemetery.

Mr. Kemp, a native of Candler County, was an HVAC technician at TYCO International. He had served in the National Guard for six years and was a member of Metter First Baptist Church. He was a member of Metter Masonic Lodge 435.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Taylor Kemp; a son, Heath Kemp, Metter; a daughter, Anita Kemp, Metter; a brother, DeEstine Kemp, Portal; and 10 sisters, Gertrude Prince, Eveleen Lanier and Venda Sapp, all of Metter, June Waller, Jo Ann Carter and Sharon Jenkins, all of Augusta, Juanita Jackson, Hinesville, Vivian Strickland, Beaufort, S.C., Carolyn Allen, Savannah, and Sandra Bridges, Eutawville, S.C.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Kennedy-Morgan Funeral Home.
