Mr. Calvin H. Herndon, 73, died Sunday, July 4, 1999, at University Hospital.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road, with Dr. Earl Richards officiating. Burial will be Friday in Tallahassee Memory Gardens, Tallahassee, Fla.
Mr. Herndon, a native of Nocatee, Fla., had retired from the Woodland Division of Continental Can as a supervisor. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Ebenezer Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Edna K. Herndon; a son, Howard Lowe, Tallahassee; a daughter, Julia Ann Herndon, Tallahassee; two brothers, Julian Herndon, Zephyrhills, Fla., and Raymond Herndon, Lake Panasoffkee, Fla.; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
