Mr. William Ahmuty Jr.



SAVANNAH -- Mr. William "Bill" Clemence Ahmuty Jr., 79, died Sunday, July 4, 1999, at Candler Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Upper Mill Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Statesboro.

Mr. Ahmuty, a native of Rhode Island, had lived in Savannah since 1952. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II, the occupation of Japan and the Korean War and had retired with the rank of chief master sergeant after more than 22 years. He had retired from Georgia Regional Hospital as a supply clerk. He was an Episcopalian.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Bland Ahmuty; and a brother, Ray Ahmuty, Providence Town, R.I.

The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. today at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home, Statesboro.
