MILLEN, Ga. -- The Rev. John W. Fryson, 75, of 1379 Railroad St., died Tuesday, June 1, 1999, at University Hospital.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Daniel Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Harry Baldwin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The Rev. Fryson, a native of Screven County, had retired as a minister and a city employee. He was a member of Daniel Grove Baptist Church.
The family said, "He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him."
Survivors include his wife, Joyce G. Fryson; two sons, John E. Fryson and King R. Fryson, both of Millen; seven daughters, Ernestine Davis, Willie Mae Whitehead, Mary Herrington, Barbara M. Ford, Laura A. Stephens and Bonnie Odom, all of Millen, and Irene Clark, Augusta; a brother, Mark Fryson, West Chester, Pa.; and 23 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jessie Paul Young, James Paul Frison, Robert Boatwright, Ed Willie Morris, Glen Tobie and Robert Mosley.
Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Daniel Grove Baptist Church.
James A. Kirkland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
