BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- Mr. Charlie Charles Free, 72, died Friday, May 28, 1999, at Wake Medical Center, Raleigh, N.C.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jordan Baptist Church with the Rev. Roosevelt Bryant officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Free, a native of Savannah, had retired from New York Shipping Association. He was a member of Holy Temple of Prayer Church.
Survivors include his wife, Earlyne N. Free; four sons, Joseph A. Free, Brooklyn, Charlie Free Jr., Savannah, World B. Free, Berlin, N.J., and Eric B. Free, Raleigh; three daughters, Barbara Free and Gloria Free, both of Raleigh, and Evelyn Brown, New York; his stepmother, Ruth Free, Savannah; four brothers, Gary Free, Frank Free and Bobby Free, all of Savannah, and Willie Moore, Brooklyn; two sisters, Alice Richards, New York, and Elizabeth Johnson, Savannah; and 12 grandchildren.
Sylvania Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
