HEPHZIBAH -- Mr. Benjamin F. Butler, 77, died Wednesday, May 26, 1999, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road, with the Rev. D. Kenneth Wright officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Butler, a native of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., was an Army veteran of World War II and had retired with the rank of sergeant first class. He was a member of American Legion and AMVETS. He was a special education school bus driver for Richmond County schools for 11 years.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Old Butler; two sons, Richard B. Butler, Evans, and Douglas F. Butler, Loganville; four daughters, Diana S. Butler, Augusta, Maureen E. Lamberth, Blythe, Irene J. Eckles, Las Vegas, and Ruth Ann Waller, Martinez; two brothers, Stanley M. Butler, Haines City, Fla., and Graham O. Butler, Washington; a sister, Dora Cox, Poteau, Okla.; and 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be members of a military honor guard.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
