When the kids at Columbine High School in Colorado huddled in prayer while warped gunmen were mowing down their fellow students, and when Christian students witnessed to others about their faith, we thought of the so-called American Civil Liberties Union and its penchant for suing over "school sanctioned" religious activity.
We don't know of a case where prayer ever hurt anyone. Still, if the ACLU so narrowly views constitutional law that any group of students verbally praying inside a public school merits court action, why isn't it suing? If it doesn't sue in this high-profile case over its presumably sincere view of the Constitution, then the cat is out of the bag: Their previous suits were only about money and left-wing politics.
