Mrs. Wilma Purvis Forbes, 79, died Tuesday, May 4, 1999, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Westover Memorial Park with the Rev. Davis Hagen officiating.
Mrs. Forbes, a native of Bryan County, had retired as a secretary with Medical College of Georgia. She was a member of Greene Street Presbyterian Church.
The family said, "God couldn't be everywhere all the time; that's why He created mothers."
Survivors include a son, George W. Forbes Jr., North Augusta; a daughter, Elizabeth Nelson, Augusta; a brother, Cecil Purvis, Lorton, Va.; and two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be William Rossignol, Danny Sullivan, Shawn McBride, Bill Prince, Robert Nelson and Jimmy Quibodeaux.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Platt's Funeral Home, Crawford Avenue.
