DORCHESTER, Mass. -- Mr. Frank Elam Jr., 55, of 16 Celon St., died Monday, April 12, 1999.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Republican Grove Baptist Church, Edgefield, S.C., with the Rev. James Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Elam, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Republican Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mable Elam; three sons, Ronnie Williams, Aiken, and Daryl Thompson and Marcus Thompson, both of Boston; a daughter, Charlene Elam, Boston; his father, Frank Elam Sr., Edgefield; two brothers, Robert R. Elam Sr. and Floyd Elam, both of Dorchester; five sisters, Jeanette Scurry, Nancy Miller, Fannie M. Johnson and Mary Strom, all of Edgefield, and Allene Andrews, Pensacola, Fla.; six stepbrothers, James Morgan, New York, Clarence Martin, Trenton, S.C., and Shep Martin, Eddie Martin, Willie Martin and Eugene Martin, all of Edgefield; a stepsister, Rosa West, Johnston, S.C.; and 16 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be cousins.
The family will receive friends at the residence of Frank Elam Sr., 513 Silver Bell St., Edgefield, and at Blalock's Funeral Home, Edgefield, after 10 a.m. today.
