Mrs. Dorothy M. Russell, 83, of 4275 Owens Road died Sunday, February 28, 1999, at her residence.
The funeral was held Friday at Burton Congregational United Church of Christ in Burton, Ohio, the Rev. D. Ray Mullet officiated. Burial was in Welton Cemetery, Burton. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Georgia Room of Brandon Wilde Retirement Community, 4275 Owens Road, Evans.
Mrs. Russell, a native of Fremont, Ohio, had retired as a schoolteacher. She taught at Berkshire School, Ohio, Bowling Green State University, Ohio, Ashland College, Ohio, Russell Township Schools and Burton Schools. She was a graduate of Ross High School, Bowling Green University and Ohio State University. She was a member of the Friends of Burton Library, the Retired Teachers Association, Delta Kappa Gamma and the Red Cross Blood Mobile. She was a member of Burton Congregational United Church of Christ where she was a librarian and historian.
Survivors include a son, William L. "Skip" Russell, Peoria, Ariz.; a daughter, Carole Ferrang, Evans; and three grandchildren.
