Mr. Hance Lunday

APPLING -- Mr. Hance A. Lunday, 82, of 2526 Scotts Ferry Road, died Sunday, March 7, 1999, at Thomson Manor Nursing Home, Thomson.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kiokee Baptist Church with the Rev. Wes Gardner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Lunday, a native of Richmond County, had retired from the Air Force as a glider pilot. He was a member of Mann Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a member of the National Glider Pilot's Association and a photographic officer in Japan. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star, awarded for his participation in Operation Varsity near Wesil, Germany, in 1945.

Survivors include his wife, Eva M. Lunday; a daughter, Vicki Turner, Hawkinsville; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be the members of the Air Force.

Memorials may be made to Kiokee Baptist Church, P.O. Box 191, Appling, Ga 30802.

Friends may call at the residence.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Starling Funeral Home in Harlem.
