It's a loss for Lynx



MIAMI -- The Augusta Lynx continue a four-game road swing in Florida with games against the second-place Florida Everblades on Wednesday and Friday and a contest at Miami on Saturday.

The Lynx lost at Miami, 6-3, on Sunday, dropping them into fourth place in the Southeast Division behind Pee Dee, Florida and South Carolina. The Augusta Chronicle incorrectly reported on Monday that Augusta beat Miami, as was reported by the Associated Press. No game statistics were received from the Miami club either.

The Matadors, who are next-to-last in the Southeast Division, scored five unanswered goals on Sunday. Augusta did have some good news -- veteran Bob Berg scored his 300th career goals at 13:00 of the second period with an assist from Mark DeSantis and Wes Mason.

ECHL'S BEST OF WEEK:

Birmingham Bulls center Patrick Nadeau is the player of the week after netting four goals and dishing ouit a pair of assists as the Bulls won three straight.

In 26 games this season, Nadeau, a Quebec City, Quebec, native, has recorded 15 goals and 11 assists for a plus-11 rating.

Baton Rouge's Bryan Richardson and Pee Dee's Dany Bousquet were runners-up for the weekly honor.

Jordan Willis of Baton Rouge is the goaltender of the week after posing a 2-1-0 record with 1.52 goals against average and a .956 save percentage.

Willis, 24, stopped 32 of 33 shots Friday night in Augusta as the Kingfish defeated the Lynx 2-1, and on Saturday night, he blocked 36 of 37 shots in the Kingfish's 3-1 victory over the Greenville Grrrowl.

Augusta's Judd Lambert (1-1-0 with 1.50 goals against average and .955 save percentage) and Birmingham's Scott Bailey (3-0-0, 2.0 goals against average and .938 save percentage) were runners-up.
