Blasts 'double standard' at airport 022299 - The Augusta Chronicle

Is there something wrong here?

The Federal Aviation Administration has determined that the Bush Field airport is too risky for the Navy's Blue Angels demonstration jets, but it's not so for the hundreds of passengers in commercial and private aircraft that land and take off there every day.

The extensive double standards -- or the lack of any where needed -- which our nation, its government and its people increasingly exhibit, started snowballing with the first "trial of the century," the O.J. Simpson case. And it has been downhill for the United States ever since.

How sad to see the end of an era where justice, morality, and "doing the right thing" were uppermost in the conduct of the government and its citizens.

Ancient Greece and Rome, the United States isn't far behind you!
