Mr. Walker L. Dupree, 88, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999, at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Poteet Funeral Home, Greene Street, with the Rev. Terry Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park.
Mr. Dupree, a native of Americus, Ga., was a graduate of Georgia State College for Men, Tifton. He had retired from Morgan Truck & Tractor as an accountant after 29 years. He was a 50-year member of the Augusta Lions Club and an International Harvester.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of the Louis L. Battery American Legion Post. He was a member of St. John United Methodist Church, where he was chairman of the board of trustees and the administrative board. He was a member of Henry Bible School Class and was the St. John United Methodist Church Sunday school superintendent.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Ouzts Dupree; a son, W. Leonard Dupree Jr., Mabelton, Ga.; a daughter, Beth Dupree Rashidfarokhi, Marietta, Ga.; a sister, Sara D. Andrews, St. Simons Island, Ga.; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Dupree, Kevin Collins, Amir Rashidfarokhi, Arman Rashidfarokhi, Joe Andrews and John Ouzts Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Augusta Lions Club and the Henry Bible School Class of St. John United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
