WRENS, Ga. -- Mr. Harry Paul Wren, 91, of 406 Stone St., died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at James & Lowe Funeral Home with the Revs. Ronald Jackson, Gary Jones and James Ford officiating. Burial will be in Wrens City Cemetery.
Mr. Wren, a native of Jefferson County, had retired as chief personnel manager from Atlanta Army Depot, Forest Park. He was awarded the Department of the Army's Decoration for Meritorious Service. He was a teacher and coach at Louisville Academy. He was a 1934 graduate of Oglethorpe University, where he played football and was student body president. He was a member of Atlanta Personnel Club, Lions Club, Friends of McCollum Library, Jefferson County Historical Society, Kiwanis Club, and Sons of the American Revolution. He was named Jefferson County Distinguished Alumnus in 1986. He was a member of Ways Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Jennie Wren Leitch, Washington, D.C.; and a sister, Sara Lively, Wrens.
Pallbearers will be Tammy Zeigler, David McTier, White Kitchens, Dennis Holley, J.A. Avera, John Pilcher, Leada Weatherford, Sherry Storey, Faye Usry, Muriel Beasley and Lily Brown.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Kiwanis Club, deacons of Ways Baptist Church and Kitchens Furniture Group.

Friends may call at the residence.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
