Augusta Christian's girls basketball team was eliminated from the Georgia Independent School Association Class AAA playoffs on Wednesday.
The Lady Lions lost to Brookwood 46-41 at Tattnall Square in Macon. In other games there, Tattnall Square defeated Mount de Sales 65-38, Deerfield-Windsor downed Pinewood Christian 35-17 and Southland beat John Milledge 43-29.
At Stratford Academy, Brentwood's girls defeated Fullington 63-32, Stratford edged Athens Christian 66-59 and Windsor beat First Presbyterian 65-53.
State GISA action continues today at those sites with boys games. Area teams Brentwood, Augusta Christian, Westminster, Nathanael Greene, Briarwood and Curtis Baptist will be in action.
