I am writing this letter to voice my opinion on Augusta's water bans.
I know it's a little soon to think about it, but I have a suggestion for this year. Since we started having water bans a few years ago, with each year getting worse regardless of cause, I feel like the city should try to prevent the ban this year. I think everyone will agree with me when I say it's irritating not being able to water the grass or wash your car for days at a time, or even weeks.
I think the city should just go on and issue odd-even days at the beginning of the summer. If it could do something beforehand instead of waiting until the problems gets severe, then I think it should. I'm not saying this is the greatest idea, but I think about it. It's better to have water every other day than to not have water at all.
Anyone who lives in Augusta knows we're going to have another ban this year. Why wait when the city can at least try to prevent the ban?
