Mr. Edgar Law, 85, of 1235A Augusta West Parkway, died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Marks Baptist Church with the Revs. Michael Davenport and Hal Hodgens officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Law, a native of Titusville, Fla., had retired as a mechanic from Ft. Gordon. He was an Army and Navy veteran of World War II, where he received the Victory Medal, Meritorius Unit Award, American Defense Service Medal, American Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with two Bronze Stars. He was a member of AFGE Local 2017 and Marks Baptist Church.
The family said, "He was a faithful and loving husband for 54 years and a devoted father and grandfather."
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Mays Law; a son, David "Wayne" Law, Thomson; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Clifford Maddox, Charles Agerton, Ricky Mays, Tommy Mays, Johnny Allen and Donny Moore.
Thomas L. King Funeral Home, Martinez, is in charge of arrangements.
