DEARING -- Mr. Floyd E. Bowling, 69, of 2750 Old Whiteoak Road, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Dearing Baptist Church with the Revs. Michael Timmerman and Lee Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Augusta.
Mr. Bowling, a native of Ponca City, Okla., had retired as plant engineer from University Hospital and was an Army retiree. He was a Vietnam veteran and a member of Dearing Baptist Church, where he was a member of the adult men's Sunday school class and Church Brotherhood. He was a member of KeenAgers Group.
Survivors include his wife, Miriam Bowling; three sons, F. Trent Bowling, Lincolnton, and Robert Bowling and Bryan Bowling, both of Dearing; a daughter, Lisa Lewis, Dearing; a brother, Nova Bowling, Roland, Okla.; four sisters, Jeannine Wilson and Mary Redden, both of Roland, Veroqua Yaffe and Bernene Camerson, both of Ft. Smith; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be members of the military.
Friends may call at the residence.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Starling Funeral Home, Harlem.
