PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Frank Dobbs will resign as Brown University's men's basketball coach at the end of this season.
Dobbs will leave after the team's final four games, according to Brown sports information director Chris Humm.
The Bears are 4-18 this season, including a 2-8 Ivy League record. The 36-year-old Dobbs has compiled a 67-137 record during eight years at Brown.
Nonetheless, Brown athletic director David Roach praised Dobbs.
"Since coming to Brown eight years ago, Frank Dobbs has been a tremendous asset to Brown University, the state of Rhode Island and the Providence community," Roach said in a written statement. "He is an outstanding young man, who will always have the support, respect and admiration of those who know him."
