SALUDA, S.C. -- Mrs. Mamie Lee Brooks, 77, of Route 4, died Friday, Feb. 12, 1999, at Self Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rock Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Andrew Adams officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Brooks, a native of Saluda County, was a homemaker. She was a member of Mine Creek Burial Society, Women Aide Society and National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. She was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church, where she was a member of Rock Hill Burial Society.
Survivors include four sons, Frank Gibson, Patterson, N.J., Sam A. Brooks, Darlington, and John A. Brooks and Phillip Brooks, both of Saluda; two daughters, Sylvia Brooks and Glenda B. Moore, both of Saluda; three brothers, James Gibson and John Gibson, both of Saluda, and Henry Dozier, Columbia; two sisters, Inez Andrews and Mary E. Gibson, both of Glassboro, N.J.; and 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
