Quarterback Chris Chandler, who led the Atlanta Falcons to the Super Bowl, will be joined by former quarterback Steve Bartkowski in a guest appearance during the 10th annual Cookin' for Kids Wild Game and Fish Cookoff in Augusta on March 6.
Bartkowski, who played in Atlanta from 1975-85, and Chandler will sign autographs during a two-hour stay. Time of their appearance will be announced.
The event, which benefits The Shelter & Advocacy Center for Abused Children in Augusta, features cooking teams dishing up favorite recipes for wild game, birds and fish to panels of judges.
Live wild animals, free-flying birds of prey, swamp-wise Okefenokee Joe, children's games and rides, mascot Homer from the Atlanta Braves and a rock-climbing wall are just a few of the planned activities.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children, with kids 6 and under free. Tickets are being sold at area Smile gas stations.
-- The Atlanta Falcons announced Thursday have increased ticket prices for the 1999 season. Prices for season tickets will be $33 or $37 per game and single game tickets will cost $37 or $41, depending on locations in the Georgia Dome.
The last time the Falcons raised ticket prices was following the 1994 season.
