WAYNESBORO, Ga. -- Mrs. Becky McClain Purvis, 59, of 505B Highway 56 S., died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Tommy McCook and Henry K. Erwin officiating. Burial will be in Burke Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Purvis, a native of Burke County, was district supervisor for Allied Department Store. She was a licensed real estate agent and nail technologist. She was a member of Georgia EMU Association and American EMU Association. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she was a member of United Methodist Women.
Survivors include her husband, Preston Purvis; two sons, Dennis Sapp, Waynesboro, and Van Purvis, Sylvania; three daughters, Mary DeLaigle, Sylvania, Martha Jarvis, Augusta, and Marie Everson, Orlando; four brothers, Jame McClain and W.Z. McClain, both of Alexander, Howard McClain, Keysville, and Ray Flakes, Alabama; two sisters, Ann Mack, St. Louis, and Ellen Tapley, Alexander; and five grandchildren and five stepgrandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Clay Nalley, Chris Nalley, Tommy Quick, Eddie Allen, Dwellie Flakes, Hal McClain Jr., George Bradham and Randy Tapley.
