Sgt. Travis Madison, 31, of 3027 Sumac Court, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, at Southern Regional Hospital, Riverdale.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Beulah Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Sam Davis officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive Memorial Gardens.
Sgt. Madison, a native of Emanuel County, was a nine-year veteran with the Augusta-Richmond County Fire Department. He was a member of the Local International Association of Fire Fighters 3357 and a 1985 graduate of Butler Comprehensive High School. He was a member of Mount Moriah African Methodist Episcopal Church, Swainsboro. He had lived in Augusta for many years.
Survivors include three sons, Travis L. Madison Jr., Cameron Jamal Madison and Tylon Demontre' Madison, all of Augusta; his father, Willie Henry Madison, Swainsboro; two brothers, Tony Washington, Newark, N.J., and Stevie Madison, Newport News, Va.; and four sisters, Lillian Edwards, Newport News, Patricia Gunn, Nunez, Janice Westmoreland, Augusta, and Cynthia Madison, Fayetteville, N.C.; and maternal grandmother, Daisy Sims, Jersey City, N.J.
Pallbearers will be John Reynolds, Will Ivey, Terry Riley, Herbert Smith, Alonzo Forrest and Sylvester Abrahms.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Augusta-Richmond County Fire Department.
Friends may call at the residence or at W.H. Mays Mortuary.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
