WAYNESBORO, Ga. -- Mrs. Estelle M. Davis, of 1100 Quaker Road, died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at Burke County Hospital.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Metropolitan Baptist Church with the Rev. James Shipman officiating. Burial will be in Pines Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis, a native of Burke County, was a homemaker and had retired from Samson Manufacturing Corp. after more than 31 years of service. She was a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher.
The family said, "Our mother was a very good mother. We loved her very much and miss her dearly."
Survivors include four daughters, Beatrice Monique, Atlantic City, N.J., Vernese Singleton, Bronx, N.Y., and Evelyn Scott and Zelma Davis, both of Waynesboro; a brother, Joseph Mingledoff, Chester, Pa.; a sister, Louise Mingledoff, Chester; and 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Leonard Douse, Earl Davis, Carl Davis, Santonio Williams, Frederick Levines and Donald Smith.
Friends may call at the residence or Phinazee and Son Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
