Ms. Marie Johnson Lockett, 52, of 1307 Perry Ave., died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at University Hospital.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Good Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny R. Hatney officiating. Burial will be in Walker Memorial Park.
Ms. Lockett, a native of Aiken County, had retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center as a food service technician. She was a graduate of Aiken County public schools and a member of Good Hope Baptist Church, where she was a member of the senior choir and the Adult Saving Club.
Survivors include a son, Dozier B. Johnson, Augusta; a brother, James V. Johnson, Warrenville; three sisters, Viola J. Reed, Augusta, Paulette Buford, Aiken, and Wilhelmina Thomas, North Augusta; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Willie Brannon, Edward Myers, Anthony Harley, Lonzo Graham, Stanley Wade and Earnest Andrews.
