Mrs. Winifred M. "Winnie" Skelton, 73, of 3600 Old Ironsides Blvd., died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Poteet Funeral Home, Peach Orchard Road, with the Rev. Tom Conway officiating. Entombment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Mrs. Skelton, a native of Donaldsonville, Ga., had been in civil service at Fort Gordon as a transportation officer for 41 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Pell City, Ala.
Survivors include a son, Jim Skelton, Hephzibah; a daughter, Ann Skelton, Augusta; a brother, Joe McKnight, Lebanon, Tenn.; two sisters, Maxine Abbott and Myrtha Roe, both of Pell City; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Abbott, Dennis Abbott, Joe Paul Abbott, Danny Abbott, Tim Gaylor and Ken Stanford.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
