WAYNESBORO, Ga. -- Mrs. Helen Rowland Chance, 87, of 4282 Georgia Highway 24 South, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998, at Burke County Hospital.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at DeLoach Funeral Home, Waynesboro, with the Rev. Keith Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Chance, a lifelong resident of Burke County, was a homemaker and a member of Alexander United Methodist Church.
The family said, "She was a loving mother and grandmother."
Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn C. Lovett and Jane C. Howell, both of Waynesboro; two sisters, Jeanette Chalker and Frances Irby, both of Augusta; and five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bill Chance Jr., Ken Chance, Johnny Lovett, Tommy Moxley, Ray Hall, Jim Alexander and Mike Moxley.

Friends may call at the residence.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
